The Vision 900 Appeal
REASON FOR THE APPEAL
Studley Parish has a wonderful church building, full of peace from 900 years of prayer and worship. We want to offer facilities people now expect from a public building. Our vision is to make a more welcoming place for those who will use the church for weddings, baptisms, farewells, prayer and worship over the next 100 years.
AIM OF THE APPEAL
We hope to provide: a new heating system, new cloakrooms for women, men and people with a disability, and a storage area.
The present heating system is over 40 years old and may fail at any time.
The present toilets are chemical loo's in a shed, emptied by the Vergers.
The new boiler and facilities would be housed in a stone-built extension at the South-East corner. This would be on the site of a similar building in the early 19th Century.
SHARING OUR CELEBRATION
We in Studley have much to be thankful for, in our own good lives and in our church. We want to share this by giving away 10% of all that we raise to those less fortunate. We hope to give away £9,000 to provide water for villages in Africa. Our vision is to provide proper sanitation for Studley Parish Church and for African villagers.

WAYS YOU CAN SUPPORT
We are planning various fundraising events. Please contact me if you can help with any of these, or have any suggestions of your own. Donations, no matter how small, will all help us reach our target. There are two schemes for special gifts:
VISION 900 BOOK
A special book will be prepared with a double page for each century of the church's life. Every gift of £100 will buy a year. This could be entered in the book with a memorial or other dedication. The Vision 900 Book will be retained in the church for the Millennium of the church in 2105.
THE 900 CLUB
This Club is for anyone who would like to give a £1 for each year of the church's life. If you do this over the 3-year period of the appeal it would cost £25 each month. For those who pay Income Tax it would cost £19.50 each month for 3 years to reach the £900. If 100 individuals, families or groups joined the 900 Club we would reach our target! Everyone in the 900 Club would of course buy 9 years in the Vision 900 Book.
SHARING THE VISION
Studley Parish Church could be a place which combines ancient peace with modern facilities. The beautiful space of the Millennium Room and the lovely tone of the restored organ have shown us that visions do come true. Studley deserves a place where the presence of God and the historical roots of the com-munity can be experienced in pleasant conditions. Together we can reach that vision. Then we can really celebrate nine centuries of Christian worship and service in 2005!
